Meet Our Local Partners In Wellness
Posted on May 06 2020
I know wellness is at the top of a lot of people’s minds right now, and today I want to remind you that we’re here to help and want you to succeed.
Earlier this spring, the Baton Rouge Area Chamber invited us to attend the Second Home Reception for the Louisiana Legislature, where BRAC CEO and President Adam Knapp spoke.
We want our legislators to know that we can support them with any health and wellness initiatives they have.
My mission for Andi Lynn’s is to better the health and wellness statistics in the state of Louisiana by supplying handcrafted herbal solutions to meet people’s individual wellness needs.
I’ve partnered with Eat Fit BR and Luckett Farms to support wellness in the Baton Rouge area because I believe when we invest in our local economy we are investing in the health and wellness of families.
Our approach to wellness is a preventative idea. My partners and I want to make a healthy lifestyle as easy as possible for you -- and literally put it in your hands.
Luckett Farms is a local family farm who provides the Greater Baton Rouge area with local, quality, home-grown produce at affordable pricing. They sell directly to the consumer and are super passionate about teaching others how to grow, harvest and cook healthy foods.
Eat Fit BR is a statewide initiative by local nutritionists who help you eat smart while dining out in Baton Rouge (and the whole state of Louisiana). They work with local restaurants to develop menu items that fit within their nutritionist-approved criteria, and include their seal of approval on the menus so you can indulge without the guilt! They also have an Eat Fit app that helps you grocery shop locally and order at restaurants.
Together, we served the legislature and Eat Fit attendees our Eat Fit BR Virgin Bloody Mary’s, which are a delicious healthy version of a traditional Bloody Mary. They were a hit!
Our FIRE Raw Apple Cider Tonic makes it so flavorful, you won’t even miss the booze! The recipe is featured in Molly Kimball’s Eat Fit Cookbook. Molly is a registered dietitian with Ochsner Fitness Center and the host of the FUELED podcast. She has set out to take the guesswork out of dining out healthfully and to make the healthy choice the easy choice.
We’re a huge supporter of Mayor Broom’s Healthy BR initiative and we look forward to partnering with her as well.
We also look forward to partnering with our lawmakers to support all the wellness initiatives that are set forth in 2020 that relate to diet and herbal solutions.
Together, we’ve offered to provide education and awareness to any groups who will have us speak. We want to be part of the solution. Call on us. We are ready to go!
